Dear AEU Members,
We have reached a Tentative Agreement!
Your AEU Bargaining Committee met today for our fifth day of negotiations. Your bargaining
team arrived at 8:00 AM to draft our counterproposal to CSEA’s Initial Proposal and to finalize
the document merge. We also reviewed CSEA’s response to our letter regarding Article 1.
We began negotiations today at 11:30 AM. CSEA presented their complete Counterproposal #2.
The parties broke for caucus following the presentation. The AEU team worked on our
Counterproposal #2 and returned to the table at 4:00 PM. After the presentation of our second
counter, we returned to caucus.
CSEA and AEU continued to exchange counterproposals until a Tentative Agreement was
reached at 9:45 PM.
